The Sudanese dailies issued on Thursday said that forces from the Eritrea's army and " the people's army for the liberation of Sudan" which opposes al-Khartoum regime, are being positioned on the eastern borders of Sudan.

King Fahd confers with al-Bashir
King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia on Sunday met with the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir who arrived in Jeddah in a short visit. The two officials discussed " relations between the two sisterly countries" and reviewed " the situation on the Arab, Islamic and international arenas."
