Three kidnapped Sudanese teachers released in Yemen
It was announced in Khartoum on Wednesday that three Sudanese teachers were kidnapped in Yemen. The kidnappers released al-Ghazali Dafa Allah, Abdullah Hassan Fadel al-Moula and Saleh Suleiman, who were held by one of the Yemeni tribes in Soudah province in the province of Maareb just four days ago.

One of the rebels in southern Sudan, Kerobino Kawanin, was killed following a confrontation between warring groups in the southern part of the country. Kawanin's family confirmed his death on Wednesday.

A preliminary meeting for Sudanese reconciliation
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael said at the conclusion of a closed-door meeting of the ministerial council of the Arab League council dedicated to discussing the Sudanese issue and "the foreign conspiracies against Sudan," that representatives of the government and the opposition in Sudan will meet during the second half of October in order to prepare for the national reconciliation conference.
