Sultan: reforming education needed for jobs and enlightened values; Washington foils plan against Saudi royal family
Saudi Arabia's defense minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz yesterday defended "reforming" the educational system in the kingdom, while officials in the American administration disclosed a cooperation between the Saudi security forces and the American intelligence which resulted in enabling Saudi Arabia to foil a "terrorist " operation on November 25, presumed to have targeted the royal family.

US embassy in Riyadh warns of new attacks
The American embassy in Saudi Arabia warned yesterday its citizens of likely attacks against residential complexes where westerners live. It said that there are confirmed information indicating that al-Sader residential complex in Riyadh was under active surveillance by terrorist elements.

Two members of al-Muhayya explosions identified
Saudi Arabia's ministry of the interior announced yesterday that it had identified two of the executors of the suicide attack against "al-Muhayya residential complex" in Riyadh on November 8th, which resulted in killing 18 persons including 7 Lebanese. The two are Saudis and are wanted for security related issues. The ministry stressed it had also identified the sides behind the attack.

Saudi King grants Shoura council new authorities
Saudi Arabia's King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has offered a greater legislative role for the Shoura council in Saudi Arabia, at a time when the Kingdom is proceeding forward with political reforms demanded by Saudis and westerners.
