King Fahd confers with al-Bashir
King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia on Sunday met with the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir who arrived in Jeddah in a short visit. The two officials discussed " relations between the two sisterly countries" and reviewed " the situation on the Arab, Islamic and international arenas."

Syria voices backing to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait
The United Arab Emirates UAE al-Khaleij daily on Sunday quoted a high ranking Syrian official as saying that Syria stands with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in confrontation any foreign threats hatched against the two states, regardless to their source.
