In succession of Jasem, Tamim becomes Crown Prince of Qatar
Amir of Qatar, Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani announced the appointment of his son Sheikh Tamim as a crown prince. Heir Apparent (crown prince) Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad al-Thani, addressed a message to his father, the Amir of Qatar, expressing his desire to give up the post of the crown prince.

Qatar's crown prince quits post for his brother
Well-informed Qatari sources stressed that QatarÕs Heir Apparent (crown prince) Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad al-Thani has quit the post of the crown prince for his brother Sheikh Tamim who presides over the Olympic committee.
