Shura Council approves in principle draft law on human rights council
The Shura Council yesterday approved in principle a bill setting up National Human Rights Council. The Human Rights Council will be affiliated to the Shura Council and it will be set up with the aim of strengthening and developing human rights and deepening values of human rights and spreading them. It will be an independent body and will have its headquarters in Cairo and may open branches and offices in the governorates.

Jay Garner permitted Medhat to practice his mission until his arrest on May 2nd.
