Haaretz: Arafat vows to control Gaza and confronts resistance
The Palestinian President Yasser Arafat renewed his commitment to control Gaza after Israel's likely withdrawal from the sector. In an interview with the Israeli daily Haaretz, he said he will challenge the Palestinian groups which violate the law after withdrawal even if they are members in the Palestine national liberation movement ( Fatah ) which he leads.
