The delegation, headed by Pierre Galand -- chairman of the Belgian-Palestinian association -- and comprising Belgian elected officials, were arrested as they were trying to leave for Ramallah to take part in a social forum. Despite the Belgian embassy's protests, security agents searched them and detained them in the airport.

The Israeli forces have reoccupied the city of Bethlehem yesterday and imposed curfew and resumed its patrols in the surrounding of the Church of Nativity despite the appeal made by Pope John Paul II to lift the curfew imposed on the city in order to permit Christians to celebrate the Christmas.

Shaath calls for an international move To remove the Israeli wall
"The official government silence over the Israeli crime of building a wall separating Egyptian Rafah from Palestinian Rafah, was maintained," Nabil Shaath, the Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation said and called for an immediate move to demolish this wall which is currently being built by Israel.

The Palestinian Youth Muhammad Fikri Breek ( 14 year old) was shot dead and another one was wounded by the shells of the Israeli tanks to the North of Gaza yesterday, while the Israeli forces demolished some 21 houses during a break in operations by tanks in Rafah camp.
