Burns will not meet with Arafat; Boucher says
The spokesman for the US state department Richard Boucher said on Friday that the US special envoy for the Middle East, William Burns, does not intend to meet with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat during his visit in the region which started on Friday.

One Palestinian killed in an attack against an Israeli patrol
A young Palestinian was killed on Friday following clashes with an Israeli patrol near Toughit settlement to the north of Gaza. Two Israeli soldiers were wounded in this operation over which the Hamas movement claimed responsibility while thousands of Palestinians eulogized 8 Palestinians, including two children who were killed in the brutal Israeli bombardment of the Rafah camp.

A new Israeli carnage in Rafah, 8 Palestinians killed, 50 wounded
The Israeli forces on Thursday added a new carnage to the series of killings committed on a daily basis against the Palestinians. The Palestinian child Tawfiq Breika ( four year old) was shot and other 25 Palestinians were wounded on Sunday at dawn during the Israeli forces demolishing of two houses on top of their inhabitants while they were sleeping in Rafah which was stormed in by the Israeli forces without warning.
