Maroc telecom sells 20% of its share in Mauritel
Moroccan phone operator Group, Maroc Telecom, sold 20% of its share in Mauritania's Mauritel to Mauritanian Abdallahi Ould Noueigued (AON) private group, the weekly "Le Calame" said this week.

UN food agency seeks funds to aid Mauritania drought and torrential rain victims
The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has issued an urgent appeal for funds to help feed 250,000 Mauritanians who are threatened by serious food shortages as a result of drought and recent torrential rains.
