Morocco's capital city readies to be Arab culture capital
The Moroccan capital city of Rabat readies to play its role as capital of Arab Culture for 2003. The program decided to mark the event will be different from those adopted by other Arab cities which were made capitals of Arab culture in the past, such as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Cairo (Egypt) and Beirut (Lebanon), Moroccan Culture Minister, Mohamed Achaari, said on Friday.

Six Palestinians killed in new Israeli carnage in Gaza
The Israeli forces committed a new crime against the Palestinian people which claimed the life of five Palestinians when these forces opened fire at them near al-Mintar crossing in Gaza. The Israeli radio said, admitting the crime, that no weapons were found near the bodies of the five Palestinians.

Celebrations in Sinai to mark the Anniversary of St. Catherine
The monastery's library contains the second largest collection of illuminated manuscripts consisting of some 3,500 volumes in Greek, Coptic Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, Slavic, Syriac and Georgian. It also has rare copies of the Bible dating back to 1577, 1587, 1598, 1604 and 1636 AD, the monastery's spokesman and conference coordinator, Tony Kazamisa said.

One Palestinian woman was killed yesterday evening when she was hit by the Israeli forces fire in Rafah. A Palestinian medical source said that Naela Aqel ( 41 year old) was fatally hit when Israeli soldiers from a tank opened fire at her house.
