Libya: journalist sentenced to prison
A Libyan court has sentenced an Internet journalist to one-and-a-half years in prison after he published articles critical of the government, Human Rights Watch said yesterday. The sentence is an apparent attempt by the government to silence free speech and dissenting views.

Families of Lockerbie victims holds al-Miqrahi as not guilty
The British "Times" daily on Tuesday said that families of the victims of Lockerbie incident agreed to notify the committee in charge criminal cases in Scotland of their concern over mistakenly convicting a person in the blowing of the American plane over Lockerbie city in December 1988 that clamed the lives of 270 persons.
