The Libyan authorities on Monday summoned the British ambassador to Tripoli, Richard Dalton, and informed him of Libya's request to participate with London in the investigations into the "conspiracy" which targeted Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi in 1996.

Report: Gaddafi assassination attempt was known by London before implementation
The British daily Sunday Times reported on Sunday that the British intelligence had known at the beginning of 1996 in that there was a conspiracy targeting Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi at least two weeks before its implementation, according to a secret document published through the Internet.
