Gaddafi accepts South Africa, Saudi guarantees to hand the two suspects
President of Libya Col. Moammar Gaddafi has announced his acceptance of guarantees proposed by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and President Nelson Mandela of South Africa on trying the two Libyans suspected of being involved in the 1988 explosion of a passenger jet over Lockerbie, Scotland.
