Arab League presents new proposals to UN on sanctions
The Arab League (AL) secretary general Dr. Esmat Abdel Maguid has submitted new proposals to the United Nations in a bid to ease the sanctions imposed by the UN security council on Libya for failing to hand over two Libyans suspected of bombing a Pan Am flight over Lockerbie, Scotland to the United Kingdom.
