News reports quoted eye-witnesses that the Syrian forces on Saturday evening evacuated several of its positions in Beirut and handed some of these positions to the Lebanese army and thereby continuing the redeployment operation it has started four days earlier.

Al-Hariri to visit Moscow
The Russian Inter-fax Agency has quoted sources as the Lebanese embassy in Moscow saying that the Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri will pay a visit to Moscow on July 3 to 5.
