Syrian support to Lebanon against Palestinian action from the south
The al-Bayan daily issued in Dubai said on Friday that Lebanon asked for a Syrian support to halt the Palestinian operations in its south, and this was expressed in the telephone call made by the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud with President Bashar al-Assad.

A well-informed Syrian source said replying to what was stated by the Lebanese member of parliament Walid Junblat that his car's wheels melted because of his numerous visits to Damascus are no more fitting to reach it, that the question is not only a matter of "wheel as after snow will melt on the road of Daher al-Baidar ( between Beirut and Damascus) Junblat will discover that Damascus streets will not be fitting for the wheels of his car."
