On the meeting between Syrian- Lebanese prime ministers
The Lebanese prime minister Rafik al-Hariri reiterated that the Syrian presence in Lebanon is " necessary and legitimate and provisional and not lasting for ever." He considered that there is " a Lebanese interest in developing relations at the security and political level and not only at the economic level with Syria."

An Israeli plan against Lebanon
The Paris based paper al- Muharrir news issued on Friday said that Israel has put a plan, and briefed Washington with it. This plan states to encourage a Lebanese internal resistance against the Syrian presence, similar to the resistance maintained by the Hizbullah party against Israel.
