Al-Assad confers with Kuwaiti official on bilateral, regional developments

Kuwait and striking Iraq
News reports in Kuwait quoted British diplomatic sources as saying that the British prime minister Tony Blair and his foreign minister Jacque Straw told the Kuwaiti acting foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah during their recent meeting with him that any military strike against Iraq will be painful and effective as well as differ from previous strikes.

Kuwait follows up news of 'Kuwaiti Afghans'
The Kuwaiti The Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas on Wednesday quoted a high ranking security source saying that a group of Kuwaiti citizens suspected to have links to al-Qaida organization in Afghanistan are expected to return back to Kuwait during the few coming days.

Al-Kharafi warns against a civil war in Afghanistan
The chairman of the Kuwaiti Ummah council Jasem al-Kharafi has warned against the eruption of a civil war in Afghanistan resulting in massacres, calling on the international coalition against terrorism to be cautious to prevent the occurrence of a crisis.
