In a statement to the London-based al-Hayat daily following the expulsion of the four Hamas leaders from Jordan, the former chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas Movement, Moussa Abu Marzouq, said, "We were surprised by Jordan's official declaration to expel four of the Hamas leaders and the release of others and keeping them in Jordan."

Abu Marzouk denounces expulsion of Hamas leaders from Jordan
Mousa Abu Marzouk, a leader in Hamas who was earlier forced to leave Jordan and is residing in Syria, criticized the expulsion of four other Hamas leades from Jordan, saying, "We denounce this action and expusions in any shape, and we resisted it when Israel tried to make it and we frustrated it when south Lebanon refused 416 Palestinians garrisoned till they came back."
