Iraqi- Jordanian committees for co-operation, key projects approved
In its first meeting, the Iraqi- Jordanian higher committee chaired by the two countries prime ministers Eyad Allawi and Faisal al-Fayez approved the formation of cooperation committees in various fields and drawing the grounds of infrastructure projects of strategic significance for the two states including the installation of an oil pipeline.

The Iraqi President Ghazi Elyawer started yesterday an official two-day visit to Manama, coming from Kuwait where he had held "very good" talks, announcing his rejection for a military attack against Falluja and accusing Iran of playing "a negative role" in Iraq.

Clashes in al-Ramadi, 15 Iraqis killed in Tikrit, new bombardment in Falluja
The American forces continued their air bombardment of Falluja yesterday at dawn resulting in several being killed and injured. Witnesses said that one of the killed is the driver of a rental car whose car was attacked by American soldiers while he was transporting a family coming from Baghdad.

Elyawer in Kuwait carrying the two files of compensations, debts
The Iraqi Interim President Ghazi Elyawer is to hold talks with the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jabber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and several government officials relating to economic and security issues and the borders. The talks will be concentrating on the two files of debts and compensations accumulated on Iraq as a result of its invasion of Kuwait in 1990.

While the American forces are preparing to launch a large- scale attack against Falluja and al-Ramadi, one of the chieftains of Falluja said that contacts are still continuous yesterday between members representing the city's delegation and the interim national council ( parliament) who will, by his turn, make contacts with the interim government to solve the crisis, peacefully.

Bloody clashes in al-Ramadi, scores of Arabs detained
Ten Iraqis were at least killed and other 15 injured including three American marines in explosions and clashes between the American forces and gunmen in al-Ramadi, according to Iraqi medical sources in the city which is situated to the west of Baghdad.
