Iraqi Prime Minister arrival statements in Damascus
Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi arrived Friday in Damascus in an official three-day visit to Syria during which he will hold discussions with Syrian officials in a bid to developing cooperation between the two states.

Al-Sader: we will not permit aggressions against Syria, Iran
The Shiite clergy Muqtada al-Sader appeared yesterday in al-Koufa mosque for the first time and made a critical speech in which he criticized the Iraqi prime minister Eyad Allawi. He also condemned the " Zionist practices in Lebanon and Palestine " announcing simultaneously he will not permit " attacking Syria and Lebanon." Al-Sader's sermon also blamed the Shiite reference Kazem al-Haeri.

Kidnappers of the 7 hostages extend the grace period, new demands, one Egyptian diplomat kidnapped in Baghdad
One Iraqi armed group yesterday kidnapped the third ranking man in the Egyptian diplomatic mission to Baghdad at a time when a group detaining 7 hostages in Iraq -- three Kenyans, three Indians and one Egyptian -- extended a period that was announced for a Kuwaiti company where the hostage are working for 48 hours but announced new demands in order to release them including releasing the Iraqi detainees in the Kuwaiti and American jails and compensating victims of the American bombardment of Falluja.

Raid on Falluja in coordination with Allawi government, two Americans were killed
The American occupation forces yesterday made a new attack against Falluja and a raid was launched that targeted a gathering for "terrorist" elements and resulted in wounding five persons including three children, while two American soldiers were killed and a former Iraqi army general was killed working for the occupation authority in Musil.
