The American occupation forces announced yesterday that the Iraqi resistance intensified their attacks during the last weeks and that their operations have become more complex and the last three of which were yesterday and resulted in wounding 10 Americans while the US forces detained more than 10 Iraqi resistance men including a former Iraqi army general in raids launched in Tikrit and Baqouba.

Turkey: sending troops to Iraq depends on Iraqi people's desire
Turkey's prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey was not and is still not encouraged to send troops to Iraq, and that the Turkish army will not go to any place it is not wanted or desired. Three American soldiers killed in Tikrit; talk of US army reductions
One American soldier was killed and a third wounded when their convoy was attacked outside the Iraqi city of Baghdad. A spokeswoman for the US army was quoted as saying that soldiers from the fourth contingent army were exposed to an attack by light weapons and missiles.
