The building of a new Iraq
The US went into Iraq for reasons that it knows itself. What it told the world is that it went into Iraq to liberate it from tyranny, and to give it freedom, democracy, and prosperity. That is certainly a noble objective.

Explosions in al-Ramadi, redeployment in Falouja as US soldiers are killed, attack in Sameraa
A position for the US forces in Sameraa city to the north of Baghdad was exposed to an attack by missiles on Thursday midnight. Witnesses said that several American soldiers were killed or wounded in an attack by missile. This news was not confirmed by the US forces leadership.

Al-Sahaf: Saddam is in Iraq, he should have resigned office
The former Iraqi minister of information, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahaf, has hinted upon his arrival in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday that he might not return back to Iraq. He expressed conviction that the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is still alive.

More than 6,000 Iraqis killed by the US war on Iraq
A group of British and American researchers said yesterday that the number of killed because of the American- British war against Iraq reached more than 6,000 following statistics that covered the victims in remote areas in Iraq. Earlier statistics said that 5500 Iraqis were the victims of the war.

Kwaiti says it identified four missing Kuwaitis dead in Iraq
The spokesman for the search team for "misssing Kuwaitis and prisoners in Iraq" Fayez al-Oneizi said yesterday that the remains of four Kuwaiti missing were found in a mass grave in al-Samawa area to the south of Iraq.

Two American soldiers, one British wounded in two attacks in Iraq
An officer in the US army said that two American soldiers were slightly wounded in an explosion that inflected damage in their vehicles at the outskirts of Baghdad. The army officer who was talking from the explosion site said that an explosive went off on the highway linking Baghdad and Baghdad's International airport.
