Mubarak: summit to consider delegation to Iraq; Syria: joint Arab defense needed
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak yesterday announced that the Arab summit will decide whether it will send a delegation to convince the Iraqi President to quit the authority, while Syria has called for "abstaining from giving any military aid against any Arab country" to be within decisions of the summit.

The delegation representing the Non- Aligned Movement NAL, member states which held yesterday in Malaysia preliminary discussions in preparations for today's meeting of its foreign ministers and the summit to be held on February 24 and 25, attended by 60 leaders, failed to agree on the content of a draft statement condemning the aggression against Iraq. This resolution is proposed by the hosting country and the Arab states, After Singapore and Chile expressed their rejection for the matter.

Al-Sharif Ali movement boycotts Irbil meetings
A group representing the Iraqi opposition announced it will boycott the already postponed meeting for the Iraqi opposition which was due yesterday in Irbil, a main Kurdistani city. Also another group intends not to take part in this meeting of the follow up and coordination committee of the Iraqi opposition which was expected to be held since weeks in Kurdistan, north Iraq, to discuss the aftermath of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

Qathafi two proposals to solve the Iraqi crisis

Iraqi opposition groups meet in Seloubi, Turkey
The meeting of the Iraqi opposition started yesterday in the Turkish city of Seloubi on the borders with Iraq. It includes the leader of the Kurdistani National Federation Jalal al-Talibani; Najrwan al-Barazi, the regional officer at the Kurdistani Democratic Party and Saffan Agha, the official at the Turkman's Front.
