Bahrain on Friday proposed sending a delegation from the Gulf states to Baghdad, Iraq, in order to discuss "means of getting out of the current bottleneck" despite the fact that Bahrain's crown prince and commander of defense forces Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa criticized the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein saying he "succeeded in dividing the Arab homeland."

Well-informed sources in Doha said that the Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri will start a visit to Doha on Monday for two day as a special envoy for the Iraqi President. The sources added Sabri's visit will be in the context of a plenary Gulf tour which will start today by a visit to Bahrain and then the United Arab Emirates UAE and then Qatar and to be followed by Oman.
