New numbers by the Algerian ministry of the interior yesterday said that the quake which hit Algiers and its suburbs on May 21 resulted in killing 2666 and wounding other 10147.

A new quake hit Algeria Yesterday morning just 14 hours from a previous one, part of the destructive quake the country was exposed to last week, at a time when psychologists warned against strong consequences of the series of quakes on the citizens of the capital Algiers and Bumerdas provinces, where worst human and material casualties occurred.

A new quake in Algeria: three killed, 187 wounded
A new earthquake took place yesterday in Algeria at 5.8 degree at the Richter Scale, and resulted in killing three persons and wounding other 187. This was the echo of the destructive quake which hit Algeria last Wednesday where the Algerians are still counting the human and material losses.

Some 14 persons were killed in West Algeria by Islamists
The Algerian security departments announced that 14 persons from one family were killed on Monday evening at the hands of armed Islamists in al-Shalaf area. An armed group killed two fathers and their wives and their children aging between one and a half years and 17 years by bullets.
