Some 15 Israelis killed, wounded in Lebanese resistance suicide operation

The Lebanese resistance on Thuesday evening carried out an operation against an Israeli military patrol in the al-Qlei'a- al-Damashqeyah- Marjyoun triangle, that resulting in destroying the patrol and killing or wounding the elements manning it.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that on the occasion of the Jerusalem World Day which falls today, one of the Lebanese resistance men detonated himself and car in a military patrol for the Israeli occupation army.

The statement said that news reports from the occupied part of south Lebanon quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the resistance man directly broke into the Israeli patrol and that the first thing which was seen were two Israelis laying on the ground calling for help, while a fire was seen and hysterical screaming of the Israeli soldiers was heard.

News reports from south Lebanon added that the Israeli forces imposed tightened security around the site of the incident and that two Israeli army helicopters were seen evacuating the wounded and killed members.

Lebanese security sources said that at least 15 Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded in this operation.

Meanwhile, Israel Radio admitted that one Israeli soldier was seriously wounded as a result of an explosion of a booby-trapped car against the Israeli patrol in al-Qlei'a Marjyoun triangle in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
