Sudanese newspaper resumes works after 110-day cancellation
Sudan, Politics, 12/30/1999
The independent Sudanese newspaper El-Rae El-Akhar resumed its work after a stoppage of 110 days due to the Sudanese authorities' accusation against the newspaper of contesting El-Jihad's values and abusing the nation, the armed forces and the public defense troops.
The authorities allowed reissuing the newspaper in the atmosphere of relief which followed the correcting decisions issued by Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir on December 21.
