Jordanian airlines changes flight schedules

An official source in the Royal Jordanian Airlines company stated that a number of trips that had been scheduled for during and after the first moments of the year 2000 that will start tomorrow at midnight have been delayed, modified or canceled.
In a statement today, the source said this procedure came to avoid any risks that may surround airplanes or any problems that may happen in the computer devices on the aircraft or in the control machines in the airports at the beginning of the year 2000.
The source said the company is completly ready to confront the Y2K problem, yet he said that the procedures taken are precautions, nothing more.
