Morocco keen on consolidation of Arab security cooperation

Interior Minister Ahmed El Midaoui met in Rabat Tuesday with the secretary general of the Arab interior ministers' council, Ahmed Ben Mohamed As-salim.
Talks centered on items on the agenda of the 17th session of the council slated for Jan. 29-31 in Algiers, mainly the fight against terrorism and organized crime, drug-smuggling and other security issues.
Morocco, Midaoui said, is ready to step up efforts in consolidating cooperation ties with different Arab partners as well as with the Arab council.
