Youth-employment fund invested $21.5 million since 1995

The youth-employment fund, created in 1995, has invested a total of $21.5 million, said in Rabat Tuesday Moroccan Economy and Finance Minister Fathallah Oualalou.
Talking during the question time of the chamber of advisors (upper chamber of the parliament), the minister said the fund, on its own, cannot settle unemployment, mainly in rural areas. He stated that there are other implements to address the unemployment issue.
He went on that the government has allocated important budgetary resources to upgrade the competitiveness of Moroccan enterprises and improve the professional skills of young entereprises.
He added that municipalities and local councils now possess huge means thanks to agreements concluded with other bodies and the priority given to small localities.
