Moroccan carrier, among rare companies to maintain same prices
Morocco, Business, 12/29/1999

The Moroccan air carrier "Royal Air Maroc" is among the few companies that renounced the price increase proposal by its partners, despite more expensive operating costs and of oil and the negative impact of inflation, said Tuesday a Moroccan official.

The Moroccan minister of transports and merchant navy, Mustapha Mansouri, told the chamber of advisors (higher chamber of the parliament) that Royal Air Maroc abstained from increasing prices to improve its competitiveness and consolidate its role in national exports and tourism.

He went on that since 1995, the company has been enforcing promotional reductions ranging between 20 and 35% on most international lines, between 50 and 75% for internal flights.
