Ambassadors to be exchanged between Bahrain and Qatar

Qatar and Bahrain agreed to exchange ambassadors and to form high committees under the chairmanship of the crown princes in the two states to develop joint cooperation and discuss settling the existing border dispute between the two countries in fraternal ways.
Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani visited Bahrain, where he met with Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khalifa, who said, "The conflict between Qatar and Bahrain on the borders will remain suspended till the International Court of Justice in the Hague issues its verdict concerning this matter."
The tensions in relations between the two states are due to their conflict concerning the ownership of Khawar and Shereet Zabar in the Qatari peninsula.
