Iraq hails cooperation with Egypt

Iraqi Vice President Taha Yasin Ramadan confirmed the depth of ties between the Egyptian and Iraqi people through the history and civilizations they presented to the Arab states, full of wonders, and challenges to difficulties as well as overcoming the enemies of the Arab states.

This came during Ramadan's reception yesterday of Mohamed Abd Mohsen Shata, head of board of directors of the international group for Egyptian investments and his escorting delegation which is currently visiting Baghdad.

On his side Shata emphasized on Egyptian international group's adherence to expanding its cooperation with Iraq in the industrial, commercial and agricultural fields.

The volume of Egyptian exports to Iraq in the framework of the understanding note known as the oil-for-food program reaches nearly $800 million U.S. and is expected to increase soon to $1 billion.
