Bashar al-Assad to visit Iran shortly

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Muhammad al-Sader has announced that Col. Bashar al-Assad will visit Iran for the first time, shortly.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Iranian daily Subh Amrouz, al-Sader added, "It was decided that Bashar will visit Tehran after the month of Ramadan, but it is possible that the visit will be made before that time."
In August Bashar al-Assad, son of Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, visited Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. In October he visited Oman, before he in November visited France.
