Navigation line opened between Bahrain and Iraq

The Emerati ship Jabal Ali arrived yesterday afternoon at the Iraqi harbor Om El-Kasr coming from Salman harbor in Bahrain to open the first maritime line linking Iraq and Bahrain.
200 passengers were on board, most of whom are coming from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, among whom were two members of the Bahraini Shura council, Ali El-Moslem and Mohammed Hassan Kamal, as well as some members of the Bahraini trade and industry chamber.
The two countries agreed in November on running this maritime line, which is considered as complementary to another maritime line for the same ship that links Rashed harbor in Dubai, UAE and the Iraqi harbor of Om Kasr, which started its organized trips in November 1998.
