Sudan's negotiations with IGAD to continue
Sudan, Politics, 12/27/1999
Nafea Ali Nafea, the advisor of the Sudanese president for peace affairs, denied that there is a crisis between President Omar El-Bashir and the head of the dissolved parliament, Hassan Turabi, concerning the coming round of peace negotiations with IGAD.
He said the causes which will be discussed are not a matter of conflict inside the ruling National Congress Party, expressing his hope that the Sudanese - Ugandan agreement and the African summit that was lately held in Libya can push forward the peace process to overcome the obstacles that obstruct the negotiations.
