A ministerial committee for integration between Egypt and Sudan
Sudan-Egypt, Politics, 12/27/1999

The Sudanese Cabinet decided to form a high ministerial committee to prepare a program for integration between Egypt and Sudan.

Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir said in press statements yesterday that his visit to Egypt is historical and that Sudan will continue developing its relations with Egypt to return them to normal. He said Egypt has a regional and international status.

He added that his visit to Libya aims at normalizing relations with Uganda and modifying the cooperation charter between Sudan, Libya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Meanwhile, Sudanese sources in Cairo said today that Sudanese television prevented the broadcast of an interview with the discharged head of the parliament, Hassan Turabi, which took place in cooperation with the Qatari al-Jezira channel, according to the instructions of Sudanese Minister of Information and Culture Ghazi Salah Al Din.
