Kuwait to pay for Middle East peace settlement
Kuwait, Politics, 12/27/1999
Kuwaiti Nation's Council (parliament) member Walid al-Tabtani has expected that Kuwait will face greater Western pressures to pay for part of the peace settlement in the Middle East, which may reach US $10 billion.
In a press statement he made on Sunday, al-Tabtani said the Kuwaiti political forces and activists have to unify their ranks to create a solid ground before "coming" Western pressures on Kuwait and the Gulf states in order to force them to normalize with Israel and pay the bill for the Israeli peace.
