Starting steps of establishing the new Egyptian museum

The Egyptian Ministry of Culture received on Friday the feasibility studies and technical designs concerning establishing the new Egyptian Museum that were designed by Italian comapanies with financing from the Italian government, as it took four whole years and its costs reached $1.5 million.

Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni stated that the cornerstone of the museum will be set near the Giza pyramids at the beginning of the coming month to replace the museum currently located in downtown Cairo. The new museum will cover 117 acres an cost a total of $400 million.

Many international, governmental and private organizations will contribute to financing this major project.
