Bashir: Egyptian-Sudanese relations back to normal

Bashir yesterday hailed as "strategic" Egyptian-Sudanese relations, affirming that some circumstances and wrong acts have been behind recent misunderstandings between the two states.

Speaking to Middle East News Agency (MENA), Bashir underlined that these circumstances have come to an end, noting that bilateral relations have returned to normal.

He lauded President Hosni Mubarak's immediate and clear backing to his recent reform measures, highlighting its impact on stabilizing the situation in Sudan.

Bashir pointed out, in this regard, to President Mubarak's visit to Libya to coordinate stances with leader of the Libyan revolution col. Moammar Gaddafi and their phone call to him reiterating support to his legitimate edicts.

He also referred to President Mubarak's recent multi-leg tour in the Gulf and the support of the Gulf states to his reform measures.
