Bouteflika assigns Benbitour to form new government in Algeria

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has assigned Ahmed Benbitour to form the new Algerian government in succession of Ismail Hamadani who submitted his resignation of his government earlier in the day Thursday.
The new Prime minister was born in 1946 in Gradeyah province, and he has fathered four children. He has a doctorate in economic sciences from Montreal University in Canada and a business administration certificate from the same university as well as a BA in mathematics from Algiers University.
He had the post of the minister of finance three times, minister of energy and minerals and minister of the treasury as well as several other posts at the republic's presidency and the ministries of finance and industry.
