Moroccan-Portuguese trade exchanges on the rise

Portugal's imports from Morocco during the first eight months of 1999 amounted to 7.55 billion Escudos, compared to 6.58 billion the previous year, recording an increase of 14.6%.
The figures were released by the Lisbon-based Portuguese-Moroccan chamber of industry.
Portugal's exports to Morocco have also progressed by 13.9%, going up from 9.48 billion Escudos to 10.80 billion.
The overall volume of trade exchanges between the two countries from January to August 1999 increased by 14.25%, going up from 16.06 billion to 18.35 billion, the chamber said.
