Palestinian, Italian carriers sign accord

The Italian and Palestinian carriers "Alitalia" and "Palestinian Airlines" in Rome on Tuesday signed an agreement providing for the servicing of a Rome-Gaza line, a statement by Alitalia announced here.
Alitalia will be thus the first European carrier to sign such a cooperation accord with the Palestinian Airlines, which operates from the Gaza airport, dedicated in November 1998.
Negotiations will be carried on in the coming weeks to finalize technical aspects for the establishment of a regular flight between Rome and Gaza, the statement said.
