Lebanese resistance retaliates for Israeli attacks
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 12/22/1999

Israeli artillery on Monday late night bombarded the eastern hills of Kafer Rumman and Kafer Tabnit towns, Habboush, the al-Zahrani river area and the valleys surrounding the occupation positions in al-Sweida, al-Tahra and al-Debshe.

Lebanese security sources said the bombardment coincided with mopping-up operations and intensive flights by Israeli warplanes over the western sector of south Lebanon to the city of Tyre.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces on Hasbaya front have kept Zamraya crossing closed in the two directions. The crossing has been closed since Thursday.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance attacked, using machine guns and rockets, two positions for the Israeli forces and their agents in the Balat and Sujoud positions.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said direct and precise hits were scored on the positions.
