Arafat confers with al-Rawabdeh

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat met on Tuesday in Amman with Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh. The two sides continued talks held between Arafat and Jordan's King Abdullah II on Monday.
Talks centered on means of strengthening bilateral relations and revitalizing the agreements and executive programs between the two sides as well as Middle East peace process developments, especially on the Syrian track, and final status issues.
The two sides expressed their hopes that resumption of talks on the Syrian track will be a complementary element for the integration of the peace process and for resuming negotiations on the Lebanese track to achieve just and comprehensive peace on all Middle East peace tracks.
