The artist, who is a painter, a distinguished director and an outstanding scriptwriter, is used to hold his exhibitions in December. His exhibitions toured the four corners of the world, from Rome to Czechoslovakia and from Paris to Japan. And today, Cairo hosts his exhibition.

Sensitive and sincere feelings of Youssef Frances are behind the success he has maintained. Such feelings have been clearly shown on his pieces of work, fascinating his fans even without leaving a small room for meditation.

The seven-year-old little boy got his first chance through participating in a drawing contest made by Al Katkout Magazine, where he won first prize. This was the vehicle behind the attitude Frances adopts; neutering talents could pencil the future of talented people.

As for his first involvement in the kingdom of art, it was in 1953 through the works he introduced in Al-Geil (The Generation) Magazine artist section, over which Kamal Al-Malakh presided.

Al- Malakh lauded his talent as a painter and urged Frances to join the faculty of Fine Arts. Frances admitted it that he was lucky to find a supporter such as Hassan Bikar who backed him up over the tour in the realm of art. This however, nudged Frances to dedicate his exhibition to his great master Hassan Bikar.
