Ebeid: Government pays great heed to mega projects

Prime Minister Atef Ebeid said that the government is giving great attention to the national projects. This came during the meeting of the National Democratic Party's Political Club, which was attended by a number of MPs and ministers.

Ebeid added that the government allocates L E 5700 million to provide utilities required to implement Toshka project. He, further, said that the government spends some L E 6200 million to execute projects in Sinai, expounding.

Ebeid made it clear that this moves on the part of the government fall within the framework of an all-out program designed to get out of the narrow valley, create more job opportunities and improve the Egyptian citizens' standard of living.

Ebeid underscored the importance of pursuing mega projects, explaining that the L E 1700-million-Sues Gulf project will be a real lucrative, as an integrated trade zone is to be established.
