Morocco, Mali underline importance of inter-culture dialogue

Malian Minister of Culture and Tourism Amina Traore, who is currently on a visit to Morocco, held talks in Rabat last week with her Moroccan peer, Mohammed Achaari, on the firm historic cultural ties binding the two countries.
The two sides stressed the need to foster inter-cultural dialogue and to upgrade Africa's participation to world cultural production.
The role played by the Malian spiritual center of Tambouktou in spreading Islam in sub-Saharan Africa and in consolidating inter-African cultural ties was also discussed at the meeting.
